A Knight Thing- Prologue

"Nice job, Link!" Eagus chuckles, getting up from the floor.

"Really? Thanks!" He says, putting his hands on his hips. Putting his Practice Sword in his sheath, he waits for the other to walk over.

"Nice game today, boy." Eagus nods, putting his oversized sword onto the floor. He walks into the back room, and comes back out with two bottles filled with pumpkin soup. Tossing one of the bottles to Link, he holds it to the air, after taking the cork out. Link does the same.

"Cheers." Link says. Eagus reciprocates, and they quickly chug it down. He quickly takes the bottles back to the storage room.

"Aw, damnit." Eagus snaps.

"What's wrong?" Link asks.

"All out of pumpkin soup!"

"Oh, I'm sorry…" Link trails.

"Don't worry about it buddy. Let me walk you out." Eagus says, putting a hand on Link's shoulder.

"I'll see you tomorrow evening!" Link says, running off. Eagus nods, and quickly locks up the Sparring Hall.

"Oh, hey Link. A bit late, huh?" Pipit says as he sees Link running back. Link looks up, and notices it's now dusk.

"I didn't realize we were sparring so long!" Link chuckles awkwardly.

"It's okay, bud." Pipit utters, unlocking the door for him, "Now go get some rest. You have class tomorrow morning."

Walking back to his room, Link sees some bottles sitting outside of Fledge's room. He quickly picks them up, with a smirk on his face. He looks up to a wall clock. 8:50.

"Shoot. Just an hour left." Link lightly runs up the stairs with the bottles, and goes through the double doors. Taking a right, he runs through the gate, and heads to the strange one-eyed bird statue. This is the place where his Loftwing, Red usually sleeps. Red shutters, and quickly sits up. Link slowly gets on, and the feathered being flaps to the sky. Slowly and quietly, Link brings Red to the back of the Sparring Hall.

"Okay, after I get inside, wait in front of the hall quietly." Link explains, as he opens a window. Jumping into the room, he sees a small bag, full of empty bottles and corks. Putting his two bottles in, he takes the bags and heads to the front door. Jumping back on Red, they quickly fly to the Lumpy Pumpkin.

"12 bottles of pumpkin soup, please." Link asks.

"Right away. That'll be 60 Rupees." Link hands them over, and heads out.

"10:00. Made it." He quickly goes back to the hall to put the bag back with the new bottles of soup.
